B.LEAGUE has begun its seventh season with a total of 38 teams across the nation with two divisions. The league currently has 138 international players (as of December 1st) from 22 countries with the most coming from the United States with 95 and then the Philippines with 11. There are a total of 11 players from Europe with countries including Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
There are several former NBA players in the B.LEAGUE such as Cheick Diallo (Kyoto Hannaryz) who have career 183 games played with three organizations, Ryan Kelly with 163 career games in four seasons and a former NBA Champion James McAdoo.
In order to connect with fans globally, the B.LEAGUE currently operates an English Facebook, Youtube, Instagram pages and also in Taiwanese as well. Along with those platforms, the B.LEAGUE has launched an English website as another way to connect with the fans globally. The website will consist a go-to platform for non-Japanese speaking fans with general information like the schedule, statistics, standings and live game streaming details. Also will have written content such as the weekly press conferences where one or two Filipino players participates each week. In the video section, there will be game highlights and top plays along with a monthly English show “MEET B.LEAGUE” which features player interviews and analysis by B.LEAGUE analyst Chris Sasaki.
