AKITA NORTHERN HAPPINETS announced on June 17 that they have signed Mohammad Al Bachir Gadiaga to a player contract for the 2024-25 SEASON.
Gadiaga, a 26-year-old Taiwanese national by birth but a native of Japan, is a 189 cm, 92 kg shooting guard and small forward who played three seasons in Taiwan's T1 League starting in the2021-22 season, where he won the Rookie of the Year award and the regular season MVP two years in a row. MVP and helped his team win the league championship. He has also played for the Chinese Taipei national team since 2021.
He has been registered as a Asian Special quota and will sign a two-year contract with AKITA from the 2024-25season to the 2025-26 season. He held a press conference for the local media in Taiwan on the same day and will also hold a press conference in Akita on Wednesday, June 19
